Planning the Timeline

A few recommendations for figuring out how to make the most out of your day!

Perfect Portrait Session

In order to allow for a private photo session of bride and groom, we will need at least 30 minutes of your time alone with the photographer. If you would like multiple locations for your photo session, please allow for roughly 40-60 minutes, depending on distance of locations.

Photo Helpers

Pre-assign a family member or friend who knows the people to be in the pictures to round them up for the photos. This person will be known as your contact person (when filling out the form, please indicate their contact info). Getting people where they need to be for the photos is by far the most time consuming part of group shots.

Extra Florals

If you’d like, ask your florist in advance to send along a couple of extra stems of flowers and greenery so that they can be used in lay flats and detail shots to avoid ruining the decor or bouquets. This would be best to have wherever the bride will be getting ready.

Reach out Anytime!

Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions! I also work as a Coordinator at a local venue and am happy to help iron out the details and logistical issues that may arise.

Connect your Vendors

Are you having trouble with some of your vendors seeing your vision? Don’t hesitate to connect your vendors in communication! This can be useful in ironing out details and making sure things will happen the way you want.

Heads up!

Be kind to ensure the presence of all the family members required at your wedding photos. Plan for about 5 minutes per photo for shots with fewer than 14 people, about 10 minutes per photo for shots with more than 14 people.  It always takes some time to gather people together and pose them so that everyone can be seen, etc. Preparing a list of group shots in advance and providing it to your photographer before the wedding is very helpful to allow for a nice flow during the day.

Seat and Feed your Vendors!

Do not forget to seat and feed your vendors who will be at the reception! We will be working hard throughout the day to help create the perfect day for you, and probably won’t have time to step out for a bite to eat or a break because we don’t want to miss anything! It is always nice to know where we are being seated and know we will be getting a warm meal.

Flawless Photos

We want your wedding photos to be flawless. The photographer will be unobtrusive and ready to capture your special moments. Here are some suggestions for you:

Before Wedding

  • Before the wedding day inform the people you want in posed photos where and when they will be needed for pictures.

  • Get a good sleep! Drink enough water to help make your skin glow and have healthy meals the night before to avoid feeling bloated.

  • Have your engagement ring cleaned before the wedding so that they sparkle and shine in your photos

  • Get a manicure and a pedicure! You deserve to be pampered

During the day

  • You only get one first kiss as a newly married couple so when you do your first kiss, make it a long one! Then you can go back for more kisses!

  • Don't sweat the small stuff. It's not worth it. At the end of the day, you've got to take a step back and realize you've done all that you can to plan and prepare. Tomorrow is a big day and whatever happens, happens. You can't control everything. And hey, that's alright.

  • Enjoy the day! It goes by really fast so it is important to embrace it and try to relax as much as you can. Try to be mindful as much as you can and let the day play out the way it will and if you start to feel overwhelmed or anxious, just remember - That’s why we hired Tiffany.

General Reminders

Here are a few things to be mindful of when filling out the Wedding Timeline Questionnaire!

Be realistic!

Make sure the cutting of the cake, and any other reception activities are planned to  occur within the booking time.

What if we don’t get to cover everything that is planned?

If you decide you would like me to stay a little bit longer to get some extra photos, I am happy to do that! You can choose to add additional hours in the moment. The fee is $150/hour, and an additional $65/hour for the second photographer (if applicable) which will be added on to a final invoice and must be paid that night. I usually like to do a final check in before I leave to make sure you are happy with everything.

Take your Time!

This form should take you between 30 minutes to an hour to fill out. Please be as thorough as possible so that I can be well prepared to make your vision come to life! I would like to have the information back no later than 2 weeks prior to your wedding. If anything changes, you can always let me know and I can make any necessary adjustments!

Timeline Help

The form below is to be used as a guide.
